This was a departure from our normal illustration style and a refreshing and exciting calligraphy commission to work with.

The poem is a very popular wedding reading, The Art Of Marriage. The poet is Wilferd Arlan Peterson. Our version is in classic italic calligraphy with an art deco inspired border illustration in coffee tones with some pastel colours – perfect for a vintage wedding gift.

Calligraphy makes an unusual and treasured christening gift.

This calligraphy poem was handwritten for a client in 2010. The piece was for a little boy and illustrated with bright blue and yellow colours.

We added tiny footprints into the border of this christening poem, and an illuminated initial letter in 22 carat gold leaf.

Aedh Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven – calligraphy

This poem is a classic by W. B. Yeats. Published in 1899 it has a romantic and very atmospheric feel to it.

This calligraphy commission was handwritten in copperplate lettering, with a simple illustration of lavender as the focus for a blue border design.

The initial letter in calligraphy is in silver leaf, on a deeper blue watercolour panel.
