These letterpress wedding invitations were sent to me for calligraphy.
The quality of the card was as beautiful as it always is with letterpress. My customer asked for lettering in a deep blue to complement the wedding invitations, which were made by Cardlab.
Just a quick calligraphy blog post for today: these are Jacquie’s wedding invitations.
They are a gorgeous letterpress design by Cardlab. I added guest names (here ‘Mark and Emma’) in copperplate script in black ink.
A favourite commission this year, Jessica’s calligraphy was for an engagement party. She was a lovely customer and I enjoyed writing all of her calligraphy.
First of all, Jessica sent me her envelopes and invitations. These were luxury personalised stationery from The Personal Paper Company in London. The envelopes were beautifully tissue lined in a rich blue, and Jessica asked for ink to match, and for her calligraphy in the copperplate calligraphy style.
