These luxurious letterpress tags were sent to me to be handwritten in freestyle calligraphy.
I love writing on letterpress card – I think by the very nature of the press, the card has to be strong and therefore a gorgeous quality: just right for calligraphy.
Names are written in gouache ink, and (for the calligraphers reading – hello!) I use a Gillot 303 nib for the freestyle calligraphy.
Our khadi paper place cards are perfect for a rustic wedding – torn by hand from quality khadi paper and handwritten in copperplate or freestyle calligraphy, they’ll sit beautifully on napkins or plates.

These lovely little wedding place cards with pink ribbons are a new product for The Wedding Calligrapher. I’ve simply added little hot pink ribbons to the corners of the cards – and they do look ever so pretty!
These place cards are all the more special because they were for my cousin Katie’s wedding day. Katie married Craig in London in early September. The theme for the day was definitely lots of pink, and I’ll blog some of the official wedding photographs soon!
This was a very special calligraphy order for wedding place cards and a wedding table plan on black card, in silver ink.
Sally got in touch to ask if we could write calligraphy in silver, on black cards – and the answer was a delighted yes! Anything a little different is always very welcome here.
Sally already had a frame for her wedding table plan and asked for us to supply the cards, written in calligraphy, for her to stick into her frame.
