Wedding place names with roses

I loved making up these little luxury wedding place cards as a bespoke item.

Luxury wedding place cards

Calligraphy is in the classic italic style – nice and simple so the lettering is still striking with the rose embellishment above. I used black calligraphy ink for the names.

The paper roses are in clusters of three, very securely adhered to the card and with a scattering of real swarovski crystals beneath each little cluster.  Read more... Handwritten invitation calligraphy for Jessica

A favourite commission this year, Jessica’s calligraphy was for an engagement party. She was a lovely customer and I enjoyed writing all of her calligraphy.

handwrite wedding invitations (1) First of all, Jessica sent me her envelopes and invitations. These were luxury personalised stationery from The Personal Paper Company in London. The envelopes were beautifully tissue lined in a rich blue, and Jessica asked for ink to match, and for her calligraphy in the copperplate calligraphy style.  Read more... Wedding place cards, Spencerian in blue ink

One of the joys of being a popular UK wedding calligrapher is the quality of stationery I have the privilege of working with. These wedding place cards for a wedding at Boringdon Hall Hotel in Devon were some of the best.

Personalised wedding place cards

The place cards had been letterpressed with the name of the hotel and wedding date. I was asked to write guest names in full: title, first and second names, in blue spencerian calligraphy. The end result is very elegant and we were ever so pleased with the result!

Special wedding calligraphy order

From time to time we’re asked to create extra wedding reception stationery for clients. In this case I’d written a wedding table plan and place cards and was asked to create matching Orders of Service for a wedding.

The lettering is in black copperplate calligraphy, with pink rose illustrations.
