Kath is going to be Mother of the Groom to her son Christopher in August. She called to ask about calligraphy for the wedding invitations in June.
The lovely chocolate coloured wedding invitations were thermographically printed in brown ink, and guests’ names were written inside in Copperplate calligraphy, also in brown ink.

I’ll always remember Kath calling round to drop off and collect her invitations, because she had her leg in plaster and I brought everything out to the car to save her having to get up! She even called me about place cards last week and I called her “the lady with the leg”!
Jenny emailed in May to ask about some bespoke table name cards for her wedding.
Jenny's butterfly table name cards
The theme was butterflies, and she wanted her butterfly illustrations on the table name cards to be in soft grey, dusky pink and lilac. Each table was named after a type of butterfly: Swallowtail, Painted Lady, Camberwell Beauty, Small Heath, Red Admiral, Monarch and more.
Table names were on the front of each card with the butterfly, and the reverse had a handwritten quote
The table names were to be written in copperplate calligraphy with a few extra flourishes, and each one had a quote in calligraphy on the reverse. Quotes ranged from wedding readings and extracts from poems to a Lenny Kravitz song lyric! Read more...(168 words, 3 images, estimated 40 secs reading time)
Claudia got in touch in April to book calligraphy for her wedding invitation envelopes. They were lovely quality, lined white envelopes from Paperchase. Calligraphy was handwritten in sepia ink, in copperplate lettering.

It made a change to write lots of addresses for overseas locations: it’s lovely to know my calligraphy work is going all over the world, from the UK and Europe to the US and Brazil!
