This commission was instantly a favourite for me: beautiful song lyrics, strong gothic calligraphy lettering and dainty, pretty forget-me-nots in the border!

A Walled Garden calligraphy poem
A Walled Garden - calligraphy commission for a wedding day gift

This commission was a wedding day gift created a few weeks ago for my client’s friends.

The calligraphy style is classic italics, and the border design is taken from previous commissions with swirly detailing and gold leaf for the illuminated letter.
